Students in art this week are finishing up their Botanical and Science Illustrations documenting accuracy and science purpose in art. We zoomed with a Science Illustrator and Zoologist from the University of Wyoming and started these artworks using some ideas we learned from her and accuracy layouts using grids and observation. We are using watercolor, pen, and colored pencils.

Applications for MedStart are now open!
GEAR UP will cover the cost of the camp but limited spots are available.
The 5-day summer program is limited to 10th and 11th grade students.

Dear Superior Parents & Guardians,
Tonight at our regularly scheduled board meeting, the SSD3 Trustees voted to shift back to Optional Mask Use in our schools, as COVID numbers continue to trend downward in both Mineral County and the rest of the State. As I stated in the meeting this evening, staff, students, and guests are always supported in wearing masks if they wish. N95, KN95, and paper surgical masks continue to be available in the high school and elementary offices for the asking.
The Mineral County Health Department also informed us that there have also been multiple cases of lab-confirmed influenza in our student population. As always, we ask that you keep children who are sick at home for at least 24 hours after their fever is gone without the use of fever-reducing medication.
We appreciate all your support in the work we do educating our Superior kids.
